A very rare and seldom seen pre-Columbian (South American) before Christopher Columbus breast Jar. This item which dates to circa 500 - 700 AD is in the form of the female breast. Its construction is of coarse terracotta material with some blackening to the outer surface due to fire. A very stable hair line crack is present to the base as would be expected caused by the fire. This however is not in anyway detrimental to the quality of this piece and as stated very stable. This piece would have been used as a storage jar or more likely with religious connections.
