This is an antique British India 1919 sterling silver one rupee coin pendant with a decorative bale added. The decorative sterling silver bale is from Himachal Pradesh and the rupee coin would have been part of a necklace with multiple coins that was used extensively in northern India in tribal silver necklaces.
This is one coin with the decorative bale attached for this purpose. and has two potential holes for stringing. On the back of the coin is a crowned bust of George V King Emperor, and on the front side is the denomination and 1919 date within a circle and wreath surrounds.
The rupee can be worn either way as the front). The amulet has been silver tested for sterling silver. (No.2)
